Refund Policy
SwitchLLM sells prepaid API credit. This policy explains when we refund it.
1. Unused credit
Unused credit is refundable on request, in full, at any time. There is no expiry and no restocking fee.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
- Minimum refund amount: $10 (balances below this can be refunded only when closing the account).
- Processing time: 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.
- Any bonus credit granted with a top-up is removed proportionally before refunding.
2. Partially used credit
If you have consumed part of your credit, we refund the remaining balance. Consumed credit is not refundable, because it has already been spent with the Upstream Providers.
3. Service failures
If a request fails due to an error on our side, it is not billed. If you believe you were charged incorrectly:
- Email [email protected] within 30 days with the request IDs.
- We investigate and, where a billing error is confirmed, credit your account within 5 business days. Where the error was substantial, we will also refund rather than credit if you prefer.
4. Upstream outages
We do not refund credit consumed by successful requests, even if the Upstream Provider later suffered an outage. We do not compensate for indirect losses arising from outages, rate limiting or model deprecation.
5. Account closure
When you close your account, any unused credit is refunded automatically to the original payment method, subject to the $10 minimum. If the balance is below $10, we will refund it anyway upon closure.
6. What is not refundable
- Credit already consumed by successful API calls.
- Accounts terminated for breach of our Terms of Service, fraud, or abuse. In such cases remaining credit is forfeited.
- Bonus credit that was granted free of charge.
- Third-party costs you incurred (your own infrastructure, developer time, etc.).
7. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. A chargeback freezes the account while it is disputed. We resolve genuine billing issues faster than a bank dispute process.
8. How to request a refund
Email [email protected] from the address registered to your account, with:
- Your account email.
- The amount you are requesting.
- The reason (optional for unused-credit refunds).
We acknowledge within 2 business days.
9. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any statutory consumer rights you may have under the laws of your jurisdiction. Where local law grants you a stronger right of withdrawal, that right prevails.
